ParticipantHello! Really enjoying the section as well!
Making a timeline of my key points in my artist journey helped me give an overview of how I have grown and come so far! I had a lot of fun writing the Inner Artist letter, it reminded me of the value of my artwork. As well using collage, I have been noticing I enjoy playing with collage a lot and I didn’t use it as much before. And I love the oracle deck idea! it helps me reminds myself of what is important to me especially on days when I am overwhelmed and not grounded.
Here are some snippets of my journal!andreabv

It got me curious so I signed up for the free event too.andreabv
ParticipantI really enjoy the layering of your collage, Cassandra! Love how you cut out the window glass and inserted a different view.

I finally did mine 🙂 I really enjoyed the excercise, it felt really grounding and I felt peace while making it.
I wish to share my process because it made me realize and learn some new things. At first I wanted to buy magazines to use because I had none at home, but I kept delaying the excercise because of it (couldn’t find/didn’t have the time/felt tired to buy the magazines), so I decided to use whatever I can find at home instead (printed photos, past artworks etc.). I later realized the choices/collage reflected my most common interests/subjects.
I used one of my statements from my decalogue which is “Inspiration Through The Everyday”. I wrote the full sentence down and glued it on my collage, but later forgot that I can also rearrange them. I didn’t want to unglue it/redo the collage so I just wrote down the words wherever I felt fitting on the collage. I enjoyed some of the placements I made, such as “through” (between a small gap of different glued materials) and “everyday” (above a curious peeking eye, which later I realized it relate to the words “Be Curious” through the color and placement of the lizard. It’s another of my statements although a short version, I added it in before I rearranged the initial statement.)So had moments where I embraced the flow, I was accepting of my (happy) accidents and pictures & words naturally connected eventually. Trusting the process!
