MentArt is an Erasmus+ empowering program designed to foster connection, well-being, and growth among women practitioners in arts, crafts, and cultural heritage within the European creative communities.

About the program
The program is a hybrid format based on an online learning platform and in person meetings, happening in each of the partners countries simultaneously. Each country will select 12 participants who will have access to 32 hours of on line and in-person content at the same time that will conform the diverse MentArt community with the potential to collaborate and co-create creative social impact.
What’s included in the program?
- Access to online courses (live sessions + recorded materials)
- Q&A platform for ongoing support and discussions
- Networking opportunities & community building
- Guided portfolio and artist book creation
- Three in-person meetings (or one longer session, depending on group preferences)
- A certificate of completion (for participants who complete at least 80% of the program)
Online courses
The program consists of four dynamic online courses, providing essential tools in:
- Self-knowledge & personal growth
- Creativity & artistic development
- Entrepreneurship
- Marketing & communication
As a partecipant
you will be guided in building a portfolio and creating an artist book to showcase your work; organizing your business if you are an independent worker, gain tools for self regulating your nervous system and improving your communication strategies for your projects.
Additionally, there will be in-person meetings for networking, collaboration, and creative exploration. These will take place in Madrid, Rome, and Zagreb. (You can participate in the city of your convenience.)
What to expect from in-person meetings?
- Held in Madrid, Rome, or Zagreb
- Duration: final schedule will be informed upon selected participants.
Activities may include:
- Workshops led by professionals
- Networking sessions with peers and mentors
- Collaborative creative projects
- Local cultural explorations
- Important
Participants must cover their own travel, accommodation, and meal costs for in-person meeting in their local country.
Residency in Spain
In September, a four-day residency will take place in Spain for four selected women from each participating country (12 participants in total)
How Are Participants Selected for the Residency?
- Selection will be based on:
- Active participation in the program
- Quality of submitted work (portfolio, artist book)
- Commitment to collaboration and community engagement
- Motivation and potential impact of the program on their career
- Be fluent in English (all sessions will be conducted in English)
What's covered
- If you are selected for the four-day residency in Madrid, the program will cover:
- Round-trip travel expenses (up to 140 Euros)
- Accommodation for the full duration of the residency
- Please note: The MentArt organizing team will determine your accommodation and travel arrangements (including flights)
During the in person meetings and the residency, participants will engage in:
- Hands-on workshops
- Creative co-working sessions
- Networking with local artists & professionals
Elegibility criteria
- To participate, you must:
- Identify as a woman and be 18+
- Hold a valid European ID or residency permit
- Be able to travel to one of the hosting cities for in-person meetings
This program is for you if you
- Work in the cultural sector, identify as an artist, or are passionate about a creative hobby you’d like to turn into a business.
- Are a crafter, art teacher, or creative professional looking to grow.
- Want to expand your network and collaborate internationally.
- Are eager to improve your entrepreneurship & business skills.
- Need structure & motivation to commit to your creative journey.
Time and commitment expectiations
- Online courses: Approx. 2-4 hours per week (flexible schedule)
- In-person meetings: Required attendance at at least one (Madrid, Rome, or Zagreb)
- Portfolio & Artist Book: Completion required to earn certification
- Residency applicants: Active participation in the program is essential
- This is a commitment-based program. If selected, you are expected to fully engage and complete the program.
